Don't wait.
Participate in the Father's wooing process.
Be persistent.
No one was ever won over
by a half-hearted
"hello".
Put your heart into your practice.
People'd rather feel a fist
than a betrayer's kiss-
which is what a Christian gives
when love's merely her duty.
Gaze on the cross.
Let it refine your love,
purify your heart of dross,
so you'll know the cost,
understand the loss
the Father endured.
You'll understand what it means
to pursue a friend,
to the end,
to impart the Living Word.
